Best Law of Attraction Books to Manifest Your Desires
The very first Law of Attraction book that I picked up was “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. In fact when I first read the book I had zero clue as to what the Law of Attraction was and about attracting success.
I just thought it had a rather cool cover and the synopsis seemed interesting enough so I decide to give it a shot. Little did I know that the catalyst which changed my life that very day was the simple act of picking up a book.
This was how I was first introduced to the Law of Attraction. Never was I aware of such a bold and powerful philosophy. But at the end of it I was even more emboldened and determined to shape my own reality as I see fit.

The result is this list that I have put together of the best law of attraction books that have ever existed (in my humble opinion). 1. The Secret – by Rhonda Byrne
“Your thoughts become things. What you think is what you attract. If you can think about what you want in your mind, and make that your dominant thought, you will bring it into your life.“– Rhonda Byrne, The Secret
The Secret is perhaps the most popular book in the Law of Attraction genre. When it was first published in 2006, it became an international hit with over 30 million copies sold worldwide. If you don’t know much about the Law of Attraction, I think this is a good book to start. In fact it was the very first book that set me down the path to manifesting my dreams.
Apart from its beautiful design and layout, the one thing I love the most about The Secret by Rhonda Byrne is that is the reader takes an active role in the manifestation process. Unlike instruction guidebooks that only serve to disseminate info, there are clear step-by-step instructions to follow and manifestation exercises that one must do and fill out in every chapter to align yourself to what you want to attract in your life. Every page is beautifully designed and leaves you wanting to find out more.
Perhaps the greatest takeaway is that we are all conscious creators of our reality and we have more power than we think in influencing the events that happen in our lives. In fact, with the right mindset, believe and desire, we can manifest anything into reality. This book will spark your passion to manifest greater things in life by applying the Law of Attraction and I hope it will set you on a path of self-discovery and consciously creating your life as it did for me.
2. Think and Grow Rich – By Napoleon Hill
“The starting point of all achievement is desire. Keep this constantly filled in mind. Weak desire brings weak results, just as small fire makes a small amount of heat.“– Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich
Over the course of my life, I must have read and re-read this book at least 50 times. Every time I do I have been emboldened to take inspired action and manifest my greatest desires into reality. Since the book was written early in the 19th century, the language used has sort of a vintage and classy touch to it which I find very appealing.
“Think & Grow Rich” was written by Napoleon Hill in 1937 and the major idea behind this Law of Attraction classic is the notion that all thoughts and desires will eventually manifest into its physical equivalent when accompanied with a burning passion to succeed, faith and believe. Napoleon Hill doesn’t actually use the term “Law of Attraction”. At the time it hadn’t been popularized yet. Instead he describes in vivid detail the principles that will lead all men (and women) to achieve any desire that they so wish to.
The book also introduces the principle of autosuggestion and the concept of deliberately programming one’s subconscious mind for success. The entire book itself drives a powerful mental suggestion into its reader that impossible is nothing, and great feat can be accomplished with believe and persistence.
There are plenty of real life examples and analogies that Napoleon Hill uses which makes the book so much more interesting and relatable. The excellent use of storytelling and clear guided explanation of the important principles have cemented this book as one of my all-time favorite Law of Attraction classics (if not the best).
3. You Can Heal Your Life – by Louise Hay
“You have the power to heal your life, and you need to know that. We think so often that we are helpless, but we’re not. We always have the power of our minds… Claim and consciously use your power.“– Louise L. Hay, You Can Heal Your Life
Louise Hay (1954-1968) was a prominent Law of Attraction author and teacher who wrote the book “You Can Heal Your Life” in 1984. Her life story has been fraught with struggles since a young age. At the age of 5 she was sexually abused by a neighbor which continued until she reached 15 years old. Her child was taken from her an adopted by someone else. She later married an Englishman but divorced when he left her for another.
As she hadn’t suffered enough, life decided to deliver a final blow. She was diagnosed with “incurable” cervical cancer, but through mental healing techniques and finding peace with her past traumas allowed her to miraculously heal herself. Her strong-willed spirit and persistent attitude in the face of adversity has forever won my respect and admiration.
The powerful language written in this book is a testament of her will. Louise believes that most illnesses are caused by metaphysical factors and the weaknesses in the body are often physical manifestations of the weaknesses in the mind. The way to cure thyself is by first healing the mind, which will then lead to healing in the body. Louise came to the conclusion that the resentment she kept for her childhood traumas had contributed to build up of stress and negative emotions which ultimately brought about her cancer.
This was another life-changing book and has been the source of inspiration and guidance for me. I strongly believe that the mind has an important part to play when it comes to healing the body, especially with terminal or “incurable” afflictions. The key message behind this book is that “if you are able to take control of your mind, almost anything can be healed.” By changing your thinking and applying the principles in the book, you can start to heal your life and manifest perfect health.
If you want to see more about Louise Hay, here are 30 of her most powerful affirmations that will raise your positive vibration.
4. The Science of Getting Rich – by Wallace D. Wattles
“There is abundance of opportunity for the man who will go with the tide, instead of trying to swim against it.”– Wallace D. Wattles, The Science of Getting Rich
This book contains 17 short and concise chapters on how to attain success and attract wealth into your life. In particular Wallace focuses on how creation and not competition as the fundamental principle for making money with the Law of Attraction. The best part that I like about this book is that it contains practical exercises that can be easily applied and guide you along the way. Knowledge can easily be forgotten when denied application, but a book that forces you to apply the concepts that you learn along the way is likely to have a more lasting impact on our mental paradigm. You’ll experience the man’s carefully documented laws of wealth creation that have been tested & proven, and you’ll learn how to apply this to start accumulating wealth.
All in all a really great read, especially if the focus of your manifestation is to accumulate more wealth, then you absolutely need to read this book and learn the teachings!
5. The Strangest Secret – by Earl Nightingale
“Every one of us is the sum total of our own thoughts.”– Earl Nightingale, The Strangest Secret
The funny thing is that this book actually first started out as a spoken recording by Earl Nightingale in 1957. The demand for it grew so huge that it was eventually adapted into a book. Inspired by the works of Napoleon Hill (author of “Think & Grow Rich”), Earl shares very powerful teachings on the need for self-development and not confirming to the limitations imposed by society. His recordings cover various motivational speeches and principles of success that are repeated to his day such as “You are now, and you do become, what you think about.”
6. The Power of Intention – by Dr. Wayne Dyer
“Each experience in your life was absolutely necessary in order to have gotten you to the next place, and the next place, up to this very moment.”– Dr. Wayne Dyer, The Power of Intention
This amazing book was written by internationally renowned author and motivational speaker, Dr. Wayne Dyer in 2004. It is rich with lessons and motivational concepts that will allow you to start putting out the right intentions to the universe and start living life at the highest level. We create the world that we live in through intentions everyday. In this book “The Power of Intention”, Dr. Wayne Dyer (1940 – 2015) researches intention as a force in the Universe which connects an individual being to the process of creation.
This book will inspire you to become the “creator” of your own reality. When I flipped through the pages of this book to devour the knowledge of its contents, was impressed at the perspectives it offered. If you’re going through a hard time or having trouble getting your life together, this is an absolute must-read!
7. Leveraging the Universe – by Mike Dooley
“You are ultimately destined to discover your power and accept its responsibilities”– Mike Dooley, Leveraging the Universe
“Leveraging the Universe” is a well-written book that covers the aspects of aligning your internal and external believes to the desires that you wish to achieve. In order to harness the power of the Universe to attract favorable things, people and conditions to you, you will have to first collect your own alignment.
It teaches how to harness the powers of the Universe to achieve your desires and goals. The book covers a range of topics on the Law of Attraction, including the author’s personal history and how he managed to turn everything around by using the techniques described.
Mike has included a 7-step guide that will help to make the process easier and allow you to start applying the law of attraction in no time!
8. The Soulmate Secret – by Arielle Ford
“The happier we are, the more easily we draw to us everything we want. Every moment of every day, we are sending out energetic signals that are felt by the people around us. This explains why a desperate person draws to himself or herself more desperation, while a person who is already fulfilled becomes a magnet for greater fulfillment.”– Arielle Ford, The Soulmate Secret
“The Soulmate Secret: Manifest the Love of Your Life with the Law of Attraction” is very much as its title suggests – a book on how to use the Law of Attraction to build positive relationships and attract a soulmate. It is about empowering individuals to take control of their relationship destiny. Do not mistake it for a dating guide, goodness no! The book dives much deeper into the psychology of stable relationships and manifesting a a specific person, including the reasons you may be feeling dissatisfied and how you can turn things around with a few techniques. The Law of Attraction can be an incredibly powerful tool when applied to find or improve romantic relationships. The principles contained within its pages will show you exactly how to apply Law of Attraction techniques to attract the perfect partner into your life.
I learned a lot through the book including how to approach and improve my own current relationships. In particular, I strongly agree with the second last chapter on learning to first love yourself and develop your self-love before trying to give or find love from others. Self-love is important and plays an integral part of harnessing the Law of Attraction because if you’re internal state isn’t ready to receive love, you won’t be able to attract the right people into your life even if you try to change the.
It also teaches you how to come your negative and limiting thoughts which are often a major reason of why you can’t seem to attract the ideal partner into your life. Overall I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to anyone who feels like they want to improve on their relationships.
9. The Key to Living the Law of Attraction – by Jack Canfield
“Everything you want is out there waiting for you to ask. Everything you want also wants you. But you have to take action to get it.”– Jack Canfield
The major problem with so many people practicing the Law of Attraction is a lack of focus. We’re all over the place trying to manifest everything but find over selves over reaching for too many goals. This book solves this problem right of the bat by giving clear instructions and guidelines of how to craft your purpose statement, action plan and a detailed sequence of manifestation. Clarity, purpose and action. After reading this I had a very clear sense of purpose of what I needed to do to get to my next stage of manifestation. It may not occur immediately but I knew the path that I had set for myself was in the right track. A great book all round for beginners and advanced practitioners alike.
10. Ask and It Is Given – by Abraham Hicks
“With enough attention to anything, the essence of what you have been giving thought to will eventually become a physical manifestation.“– Abraham Hicks, Ask and It Is Given
This book was written by the husband and wife duo, Esther and Jerry Hicks whose teachings have been a great inspiration to many Law of Attraction practitioners and authors of the modern age. There is a slight spiritual element that may put some people off and there has been controversy over the claims of spiritual connections. Personally I don’t really follow their spiritual teachings but I found that their insights on applying the law of attraction in different areas of life such as abundance, health, relationships have make this book an essential read.
Albeit the controversial claims of connections with a spiritual entity, this book is a truly iconic book in the Law of Attraction genre and is definitely a great read for all aspiring manifestors!
