Glass of Water Manifestation Technique – Countering Negative Thoughts

Countering Negative Thoughts – A Simple Exercise With A Glass of Water

Hey manifestors!

I’ve got a really interesting manifestation technique that I wanted to share with you today. It involves, well, just a glass of water…

As you know, manifestation occurs all the time. Whatever thoughts we hold in our minds are what we are attracting at any given moment. That applies to both positive and negative thoughts!

Just think positive and forget about the negative thoughts? Well easier said then done. What happens if you’re feeling under the weather? How do you shift your thoughts so that you stop mainfesting negative energies and start to receive good ones?

By this time you’re probably already wondering, “what exactly can you do with a glass of water?”

This is a simple method that I’ve done with number of my students to help them get past their feelings of anxiety, negativity or depressive thoughts.

Don’t worry, it’s just a short exercise and won’t take too long. You can spend as much time as you like on it as long you feel comfortable!

The Glass of Water Technique

Let’s try a simple exercise that might possibly help. It’s a series of easy steps that I’m going to need you to follow sequentially.

Don’t skip any step (trust me, it’s much better when you follow the sequence!).

Step 1: Get a Glass of Water

First you’ll need to grab a glass of liquid beverage and set it in front of you, preferably at table height. It’s best you do this exercise in some place quiet where you can be by yourself without interference.

The drink can be anything from a glass of water to something smooth or sweet. I’m easy, just choose something that you like!

Go grab a drink or a glass of water.

I’ll give you some time to go get it…

Alright, you have the glass in front of you?

Perfect!

Step 2: The Thinking Game

Next, here’s what you’re going to do…

I need you to stare at the glass of liquid and think of someone or something that you love. Something that invokes some feelings of happiness within you.

Scroll down when you’ve thought of something.

Got something in mind?

Who or what is it that you’re thinking of? Say it out loud so that you can hear yourself speak.

Step 3: A Drop of Gratitude

Once you’ve said the name out loud, focus your attention on the drink once more and think of something about your loved one or activity that makes you feel grateful.

Take as much time as you need.

I want you to get in touch with the emotions and embrace them as they come. What is it about this person or thing that makes you feel grateful for them.

So what is it that you’re grateful about?

Say it out loud once more. Be precise and completely honest with yourself.

Step 4: Spread the Warmth Inwards

On to the next step!

Look at the drink and think of something about yourself that you’re grateful for.

It can be anything at all.

Got it?

Great.

Now for the final time in this exercise, describe the thought out loud to me.

Hold the thought clear in your mind.

If you’re comfortable with sharing it with me, do write the thought down in the comments below in a spirit of faith and positivity.

Step 5: Savor the Love

If you’ve made it to this step, then you’re doing absolutely fantastic!

The final action I need you to do is pick up the drink, close your eyes, and take a long good sip of all the love that’s in your thoughts right now.

Visualize the strong feeling of love as you swallow the liquid down

Savor the taste of gratitude and love as it swirls within your mouth and nourishes your entire being…

Once you’re done, open up your eyes once again.

Notice if you’re feeling much more calm and relaxed right now. At the very least you should be feeling slightly more positive and thankful than you were before.

And that’s it! We’ve come to the end of this short exercise.

Now that you’ve followed the steps to consciously switch back into positive mode, hold on to those thoughts as you carry on with your daily activities.

I hope that you managed to benefit from this simple exercise of a glass of water.

Feel free to share this article with your friends or anyone you know who’s feeling down at any point in time. It might help them lift their spirits as well!

How did the exercise go for you! Are you feeling a lot more calm and in a better mood than before? What was it that you were grateful about in your loved one and yourself?
